Center 4 Spelled Communication is a nonprofit adult day program dedicated to serving non-speaking autistic adults who use Spelling to Communicate (S2C) to express themselves. Our team is passionate about creating a supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment where each individual is recognized for their abilities—not their limitations. We serve families and caregivers seeking meaningful daytime support for loved ones who have aged out of the traditional education system.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that communication is a human right. We are committed to creating a space where non-speaking autistic adults are not only supported but truly understood. By embracing Spelling to Communicate (S2C), we provide a reliable and respectful method for individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and needs—many for the first time in their lives.
We believe communication access should never be limited by cost. Through community support and fundraising, we help ensure that families of all backgrounds can access our day program and services.

We presume competence in every individual. Through the evidence-informed Spelling to Communicate method, we offer non-speaking adults a way to express themselves, make choices, and connect with others. By combining sensory-motor support, regulated environments, and personalized attention, we create a space where participants are not just cared for—but empowered.
"After years of searching, we finally found a place where our adult son is understood, respected, and truly supported. The team at the Center 4 Spelled Communication believed in his potential from day one, and thanks to the letterboard method, he's now expressing thoughts we never knew he had. It's been life-changing for our entire family."
"Before I had a way to communicate, people didn’t know what I was thinking. Now, I can spell out my ideas, dreams, and jokes. I feel heard and respected here. This center is more than a place—it’s my voice."
"The level of care and attention given to each individual at this center is exceptional. The staff are patient, trained, and compassionate. I’ve seen amazing progress in the young woman I support—she’s more confident, calmer, and finally has a way to communicate."
"Supporting the Center 4 Spelled Communication is one of the most meaningful contributions I’ve made. Seeing how the funds go directly toward giving non-speaking individuals a voice and a supportive community is incredibly rewarding."
